Coquita, a very sweet 10 year old female, had a veterinary emergency recently. A hidden wound in her inner tight we failed to catch earlier became infected with maggots and put her life at risk. Even if not life threatening when treated on due time, any of you that has faced this affection on a pet knows how upsetting this can be... Thankfully Coquita behaved like a champ enduring the grueling vet visit, received the proper treatment, and now, a week later, she's recovered fully!
The vet bill was higher than we had anticipated, though... we were used to this being relatively affordable, but hyperinflation is affecting everything, including veterinary attention and medicines. Its understandable, but it puts us under more pressure, as with so many cats under our care we have these expenses very frequently. I'm sure our supporters and friends will help us cope with this new reality.
