Today we have reached the set goal we had for this campaign! The generosity and constancy of our supporters has been overwhelming, and we could never thank you all enough. To Trudy, Stephen, Michelle, Amanda, Mary, Debra, Tiffy, Patrick, Dianne, Lisa, Cat, Emma, Denise, Tracy, Antje, Dana, Dawn and all the angels that opted to remain anonymous, and also in no lesser extent to our wonderful and committed twitter followers that have helped us reach these generous hearts with their retweets: From the bottom of our hearts and from each and every one of our cats, THANK YOU!!! In the middle of the nightmare that has become trying to survive in Venezuela, it fills us with joy and hope to know we can count on your kind and selfless help to keep our many cats fed in these terrible moments when we can't even feed ourselves. These beautiful and innocent animals don't deserve to suffer, and all of you have been the means for an higher power to provide for them.
However, we can't let the guard down now. Even if the symbolic goal I set has been reached, the struggle to keep feeding the cats continues, so please don't stop donating what you can and when you can... For example, the price of sardines has tripled since this campaign began less than two months ago, but in contrast the exchange of dollars for local currency has gone down, meaning that every dollar is buying less food now. Any estimation I make for the future ends falling short in this economic chaos... It's hard not to despair in a situation so out of control like this, but we can keep our faith and remain strong because of you. God bless you all!!
