When I started this fundraiser back in January, we were in a desperate situation, lacking the means to feed the cats a single week longer after finally having burned through the last of our life savings... I dread to think what would have happened to all of us then if this beautiful miracle hadn't taken place. But instead, here we are, almost three months later, keeping on and persevering despite the ever increasing adversity we face in this country... And we are doing this thanks to you, our dear supporters!
But even after that wonderful manifestation of providence, if the support had stopped after the campaign reached its initial goal of $1500, -wich roughly amounted to three months of expenses for the shelter- by now we would be getting very close again to that dreaded desperation...
Thankfully the kindness and commitment you showed us before didn't stop there, and now I can share the good news that we have just finished collecting $500 more, meaning we have enough funds to last through another month despite the raging inflation and shortages we have to endure. A big THANK YOU goes to Jacqueline, Emma, Kate, Sue, Donna, Karen, Leslie, Tallulah's mum, Stephen Mckendrick and Stephen Morrison, and very specially Linda, Laurie, Magda and Dennis -never forgetting Romana and the guardian angel of our cats, Zoe, for your generosity providing us for this period... Some of you besides your support have honored me with your sincere friendship, and that's truly priceless. Your kindness and words of encouragement give me strenght to go on.
Now I believe no matter how long this crisis last or how bad things get, you will be here beside us, allowing us to keep doing the best we can for these cats. Being able to have hope for the future amid this endless chaos is the greatest gift you could heve given us.
